CabinetmakingThis course is designed to provide classroom, lab and ‘hands-on training’ in the cabinetmaking and installation fields. If you like to build things, have an eye for detail, mechanical ability and manual dexterity - then Cabinetmaking may be the choice for you. This is a great for the independent, “do it yourself” individuals. Great careers are waiting for people who are passionate about Carpentry, Cabinetmaking, Furniture Construction and Architectural Millwork. What can you expect?Our woodworking classes provide you with the knowledge and skills to construct and install cabinets using recognized trade practices. Students will complete various woodworking projects that entail several types of joinery and construction techniques. Graduates of this program will be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications, calculate material lists, and operate woodworking machinery. What credentials will you earn?A recognized college diploma. Where do you go from here?The possibilities are endless. You could choose to enter an apprenticeship program, start your own Cabinetry/Renovation business or move into an entry level position in Store Fixtures Construction, Architectural Millwork and Furniture Construction.
