Do you like to build things? Is “do-it-yourself” music to your ears? If so, the growing construction industry wants you. Great careers are waiting for people who are passionate about carpentry, interior and exterior finishing, and all other areas of building construction and renovation. Why tinker at home when you can get to work doing what you love?

What can you expect?

You can expect to work on a real house right in our facility, learning the basics of building from blueprint reading to site preparation and beyond. Our instructors come right out of the industry to give our students a practical foundation in construction, with an emphasis on carpentry, mill work, interior and exterior finishes, and roofing. Course work also includes basic plumbing and electrical training.

What credentials will you earn?

A recognized college diploma.

Where do you go from here?

The possibilities are endless. You could choose to enter an apprenticeship program, start your own renovation business, or move into an entry-level position as a Painter, Carpenter Assistant, Aluminum/Vinyl Siding Applicator, Masonry Worker, Construction Worker, Roofer, or Building Maintenance Specialist.

Admission Requirements

  • Personal interview to determine interest, attitude & values
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma / GED or equivalent mature student status
  • Successful completion of standardized entry evaluation
